Tom Helgerson makes music as Shahs. I gushed over his song "Handreader" from the Divine Interest EP all last Summer (enough so that I asked him to contribute to FBC Volume 1). He has a new 7" out soon on an undisclosed label (EDIT: it's Death By Audio) and some human who wishes to remain anonymous handed me two new tracks to check out.
"Medicine Girls" is one of these, all slick like a trunk-carved boat through freshwater jungle paths. Feel it for yourself below and if it's not snowing where you are take a trip way back to JULY09 for a "Handreader" reunion a.k.a. reminder to myself that I still dig.
